Google Going Wireless

As I predicted three years ago after finding out that Google had been buying up miles of fiberoptic cables and working on wireless technologies based in England (where they put relays on street lamps to carry the wifi). Today, PC World has announced that Google has applied for a wireless frequency that will allow them to offer free wifi (supposedly) across the country. Of course, there seems to be an issue of also securing a carrier as well….but I’m sure that Google will come up with that.
