Happy Birthday Google

Today, google turns 10 years old. What they’ve accomplished in ten years! From basic obscurity to creating a phrase that is common in everyday language and even used in movies and tv shows: “Did you google it?” or even “Just google it”

No other search engine before has ever created that kind of buzz. I remember the stone ages when I was using things like “webcrawler” (hint, in the world of the internet, the word “crawl” should never be used to attract clients) and other searches.

Today, Google has branched out in many ways. Everything from wifi in San Francisco to the latest web browser (Chrome) which is already catching up to Internet Explorer. Who knows what’s next?! I just wish that they could play better with Mac so I could be trying Chrome out right now.
